You nailed this to a tee. You’re 100% correct of each stage, although I’m not quite on absolute Fridays yet.

But one thing you mentioned about young adults that hit me like a rock. The phrase “taking for granted there will be more days ahead”. What hit me is how many times are we reading about car wrecks or drug overdoses claiming teenagers or those in their early to mid 20s. Those are the ones often being reckless and not thinking about or even caring about future days. They’re not around long enough to realize. And that is a real shame. It’s a reality of life.

Thanks for saying I nailed the stages, Ken. I feel you “nailed” the second part which is your thoughts on young adults being careless and reckless. My God, that’s all so true! That sort of goes with the idea that we are each given the same gift at birth —a Lifetime.

No one knows how long or short our Lifetime will be, but it’s important that we fill the years between the start and end with things that will make a difference in the world. If more people were made aware of this Lifetime idea, it’s my hope they would be more careful how they lived their lives, taking less bad chances.

But what do I know …? I’m just a bystander … a neutral watcher who honestly cares.

You are such a wise soul, C.J.. Your writing reflects your experience, with heart. Another brilliant piece, and I can relate to it. By the way, as a 74-year-old retiree, every week, for me, consists of 6 Saturdays, and a Sunday! 😘

I am going to start thinking that each week has 6 Saturday’s and 1 Sunday , I like the concept. Also, about New Year’s for me it is just that the year number changes, but everything else just continues on.

I’m learning that age, time, and New Years all are personal to the person they touch and all are perfectly natural, Jax.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Aha, Sharon, that makes you a wise soul, as well, because you understand and can relate. I like your ‘every week’ of 6 Saturdays and a Sunday. That works as well as my week of Fridays.

We are alike in our thinking.
