I was still a little girl in the days when Fairies were real —I believed they were real, so they were real. When I stared out my bedroom window at night, I could see them dancing under the weeping willow tree in my back yard.
On a hot summer night when the window was open, I could hear the Fairies giggle while they skipped and pranced through the grass in their bare feet. Oh, how I wanted to join them there, under the weeping willow ...
Why, even at my age, do Fairies still hold such an enchanting place in my heart? Is it because of their connection to nature, or my deep desire for wonder and magic to still be real in a chaotic world we cannot change?
Fairies will always be symbols of positive thinking. They represent beauty and mischief, and they will live forever in my imagination amid a sense of awe and mystery and child-like wonder.
Dancing Fairies (from a child's point of view) by C.J. Heck On warm, dark nights I think I see, beneath the weeping willow tree, the fairies dancing in the grass on tiny feet that fly so fast. The music is the wind that blows while fairies spin on bare tiptoes. The fireflies jewel up the night reflecting fairies in their light. Round and round the fairies dance on bitsy feet they skip and prance, through tiny dew drops to and fro, till morning comes and then they go. I wonder where the fairies live and do they know the fun they give to little girls and boys that see beneath the weeping willow tree?
