I love Christmas. This morning I was planning what to get everyone when an evening a couple of years ago in early December popped into my mind. I remember we were in the middle of an early Florida cold spell. At night, it dropped down to the 30s and 40s, so Robert and I got into our PJs early.
We had spent most of the day writing on our laptops. As usual, when we were in the ‘zone’, we stopped only for meals, or to share a thought, idea, or just to glance over, smile and say, "I love you."
Sometime around 10:00 p.m., Robert turned to me and with an ornery grin, said, "Hun, I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough. Let's jump in Lucy (our golf cart) and go see the Christmas lights around the neighborhood."
“Vanity, thy name is woman” came to mind, as I looked down at my comfy flannel PJs and fuzzy slippers ...

First, we drove through a Dunkin' Donuts drive-through, pj's and all, for a medium hot chocolate to sip along the way. It was perfect and only added more fun to our Christmas adventure.
For the next two hours, we were kids again, feeling naughty but nice, enjoying all the lights and decorations, street by street. Then we headed home again and back into our grownup skin once more ...

You have pointed out my need to do this! Plans to step out in my cozy home clothes and just enjoy what is out there: country roads, season changes, the coming of Christmas lights, and all....
Thank you! Blessings, ~Wendy💜
