There are all kinds of ways to say, “I love you”, without saying the words. Sometimes actions say much more than words can ever say.
Put your thoughts about them on paper —not an email, or a text —write a love letter on paper and then mail it to them, or put it where they will find it when you aren’t around.
Go to an antique shop and find an old-fashioned key and a small antique hinged eyeglass case (usually leather). Glue the key on the bottom inside the case and neatly print “The Key to My Heart” on the inside of the lid with permanent marker.
Gently touch their shoulder or cheek, when you pass their chair. It lets them know you love them and you’re glad they’re there.
When you’re out walking, be sure to hold their hand.
Surprise them by doing something special, something out of the ordinary, for or with them. Things like that shout, “I love you”.
Bring them one single red rose one day of the week, every week. If you met on a Wednesday, bring them a red rose every Wednesday, every week … just because that day means so much to you.
Say “I love you”, yes, but if you really love them, show them. Actions speak so much louder than words ...
