In one of the book and reading groups I used to belong to, members were encouraged to read and review a book each week, or when we were able to, timewise.
Then after sharing what the book was about, we left a cover photo along with our review on the virtual bookshelf for the other members.
I found it interesting that one of the new members had the following questions for everyone when he joined the group his first day:
“What is the best way to read more books? Should I read two books for thirty minutes each or read one book for an hour?” Thanks. Christopher
My Answer:
“I don’t know what kind of books you’re asking about, Christopher, but it almost sounds like someone else has been choosing them for you.
If the books are really good and the genre is something that interests you, you won’t have to ask ‘how’ to read them. It’ll be nearly impossible to stop reading a really good book, even to go to bed or have a meal.
There are people who have been known to read all night (me included), because we can’t put the book down. It’s that good.
If you’re looking for a better experience with reading, go to a library or a bookstore and choose a couple of books in a genre that interests you. If you do that, you won’t have to decide how to read them …
… only when to stop.”

This is great advice, C.J.!
How interesting! What a crazy question…but clearly this person hadn’t been enjoying his books.
