A Grandson’s Question: “I’m shy. How do I let a girl know I love her?”
That’s something most guys probably wonder. There are the obvious things, like saying, “I love you”, or gifts of flowers, candy, jewelry, and compliments.
But as a woman, I can tell you she will feel your love more when you show her along with, or even in place of, telling her you love her.
There are all kinds of ways to say “I love you”, without saying the words. Sometimes actions say so much more than words can.
Put your thoughts about her on paper —not an email, or a text —write a love letter to her on paper and then mail it to her, or put it where she can find it when you aren’t around.
Go to an antique shop or a flea market and find an old-fashioned key and a small antique hinged eyeglass case. Glue the key inside the case, on the bottom and neatly print “The Key to My Heart” on the inside of the lid with a permanent marker.
Gently touch her shoulder or cheek, when you pass her chair. It says, “I love you and I’m glad you’re here.”
When you’re out walking, be sure to hold her hand.Surprise her by doing something special, something out of the ordinary, for her, or with her. Things like that shout, “I love you”.
Bring her a single red rose the same day of the week, every week. If you met on a Wednesday, bring her one red rose every Wednesday, every week … because that day means so much to you.
Say “I love you”, yes, but if you really, really love her, show her. Actions speak so much louder than words could ever say ...

I have had lots of guys tell me they loved me but they were only words! But as I look back on the past, I think only one really loved me but it was too late! I was marrying someone else! And of course,the marriage didn't last! We were married in 1971, I was 21, he was only 17 and we were divorced in 1974! And my son was born a year later! But there's more to this story than meets the eye! (Is that how you say it?)
