“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you ... I could walk through my garden forever.” ― Alfred Tennyson

Years ago, while my daughters were growing up, I worked part time for a florist in a small flower shop not far from my home. The owner introduced me to many different kinds of flowers as she expertly crafted all of the flower arrangements she was known for in town.
Some of my favorites were her centerpieces, bridal bouquets for wedding parties and mantle garlands, but I loved them all.
Flowers are a big part of the magic of this lifetime for me; some for their eye-popping beauty; some for their heavenly scent; and some are even more magic, because they have both.
I have three all-time favorites. They are so stunningly beautiful, that I had to look closer to prove to myself they were real. I remember how their fragrances saturated my hair and clothes and followed me home to share with my daughters.

Peony. One of mom’s faves 😇 ! Had 4 bushes in the back yard for years.
When I was a child, my father had rose bushes growing on the side of our house but were taken out! I'm not sure why. And when I was able to garden, I had Tulips, Daffodils,. Irises, Lilies and Azaleas. Now, I only have Azaleas, Tulips, Daffodils and my red/orange Lilies that are now blooming! I don't have a green thumb and some of my flowers have died. My Mums never came back again!
