They made sure everything was built to last with universal appeal in those days. If they haven't influenced me directly, I get turned on to them by people for whom they influenced.

I’m addicted to Perry Mason (the originals), since my knee surgery 4 years ago. Up until last week, I was able to watch from 5 am to midnight straight over 4 different tv channels if I wanted to. That’s not counting the entire series I can watch on Freevee. Talk about escaping ! I still can watch a bunch, just not all day straight.

Lots and lots of old stuff out there on the stream. So much better than the garbage out there now for the most part. I’ll still turn it off though and hit the satellite radio or iTunes playlists.

Hi Ken. It's comforting to know I'm not alone in liking the old TV shows. However, that Saturday was strictly accidental and from my inner child's past, just as written here.

Perry Mason was a great show! Good choice, Ken!

To be honest, for the last two years, I've been an insomniac. I'm up at least until midnight, some nights until 2:00 am. I go through spurts where I'll watch a couple of Columbo episodes, or a few X Files and I can usually fall asleep afterwards. I've tried Twilight Zone and Outer Limits, but those give me nightmares! LOL

I love Columbo! Sometimes I watch him on the Hallmark mystery channel! My other two murder sleuths are Dick Van Dyke and Andy Griffith! I love a good mystery!

I agree … makes me wonder where all the idiotic, stupid TV shows came from that are on TV now. Mindless with no purpose other than shock value.

Today's kids are all on Social Media or playing some kind of game on their Iphones! There aren't TV shows like we watched when we were kids! Lassie, Ozzie and Harriet, the Patty Duke Show, My Three Sons, and others we watched as kids! One of my favorite shows was Roy Rogers and Dale Evans! I wanted to be a cowgirl back then and watched a lot of Westerns! I had a cowgirl hat and cap guns and my mom made me a broomstick horse! My mom was very creative and made most of my clothes, blankets, doilies and potholders! In fact I had met Sally Starr (Popeye Theater) twice! And I also met Chief Halftown twice! I loved watching both of their shows! And I almost forgot, my favorite singing and dancing star, Shirley Temple! I just adored her! I loved singing and dancing when I was a child! And I can't forget cartoons on Saturday mornings! And The Three Stooges! These were my favorite TV Shows!
