My gosh, are we in the same wavelength or something ?
Sleep, or lack thereof, has been my middle name as of late, again. I’m sure it’s your top reason, stress and depression. It’s not work related (since I’m done with that) but more the simple stresses of life. It’s a mystery since things are suppose to be a little easier mentally at this point but it’s still haunting me. If a certain event would finally clear its hurdle, I think that anxiety would ease.
And after being up at about 3:30 this morning, this really hits home !
Oh dear. Ken, I'm so sorry the Sleep Thief has been a pain for you ... yes, we're definitely on the same wave length. 3:30 is early --we could have had a nice conversation. I was awake, too.
I don't usually have trouble falling asleep, just staying asleep. Often I wake up after every hour. It's been a long time since I've slept more than a 4-hour stretch.
A suggestion? Robert and I would like to do next week’s live stream on Edgar Cayce, the Sleeping Prophet. We asked everyone to do some homework on him and we could all talk about his predictions and world views.
Read up on him and do a post on good old Edgar. You’ll be the man of the hour expert!
What a wonderful way to express sleep. I wonder if most of us elders go through the same?! I enjoyed this CJ and surely can relate. I was starting to think there was something physically wrong but have had trouble for years. The past few days, all I wanted to do was sleep and I did get some thankfully.
Thank you for your kind comments about my elusive sleep thief post. It does seem to trouble older folks a lot more than when we were younger. Like you, I go for a certain amount of time and then have a day when I need to sleep an entire day away to catch up!
You’re so welcome CJ. I had a very close friend who died in a terrible car accident in 1990. Her birthday is coming up and also the anniversary of her death. She was a RN at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital, a beautiful woman only 36 years old and just bought a house. I will never forget that phone call. Her birthday is August 4th.
I’m so sorry, Jo-Ann. That would be a sad memory —and she was so young, too. My birthday is August 10. She and I are almost soul sisters. I’m here for you, if you need a friend to talk to.
Thank you for the restack, Robert Cosmar! 💋💋💋

No rhyme or reason to it ... damn it.
Lots of tossing and turning, bad dreams and finally I give up and get up. Then by noon, I feel like a zombie.
Purdy damn frustrating.
That’s putting it mildly —you are being a gentleman about it.
A good rant would do you some good!
I’m overdue for a post, again ! That usually helps a little. I’m trying to come up with something other than a rant, if I can.

You’re welcome. I mean that.

I believe you do mean it CJ and am very grateful.
Thank you, Ollie! I'm so happy you found the poem true and funny! Thank you, too, for restacking it. ❤️💕😊
Thank you, Cori Bren, for the restack. I'm so glad you got a kick outta this poem --I kinda thought you would. You're ornery just like me! (wink-wink)
