Anyone who's ever dreamt of being a hero but was never presented with the chance can become one by donating blood. I didn't even know my blood type until I joined the Army and was informed that I was a "Universal Donor" (Type O+) and was expected to do my duty regularly. Unfortunately, when I was 25 I contracted Hep B and have been ineligible to donate ever since even though I've had my blood tested and there have been no signs of anything lingering or lurking, the answer is still NO. Too bad. ;-(

All respectable thoughts, my friend, but you did your part being a WAC. No other duties are or were necessary. I salute you. Thank you for your service and Welcome Home.

Been a civilian for 45 years this June! But thanks for the homecoming welcome. It's probably the first one I've ever gotten that I can recall.
