Bravery is sometimes doing something that needs to be done because nobody else is around to do it or able / available to do it at the time. Does that make sense ? Not because we're superheroes, 007, Indiana Jones, Lara Croft or Ellen Ripley. Sometimes it's taking a stand because something in us yells " ENOUGH ! ".
Hello Precious! Yes, I agree, they do go hand in hand. You can’t have courage without bravery, nor bravery without courage, but courage is what medals are earned for.
Thank you for the restack, Daniel Appleton.
Excellent article. Courage is in the small acts.
It is, I agree, Harley. Thank you.

You’re right, Daniel. I think I covered that in the paragraph where I listed other places where bravery can be found.

Bravery and courage go hand in hand but courage is the great one. With courage you can achieve great things.

Courage comes when you are self-aware
It very well can come from self-awareness, Jo-Ann. But I doubt that all combat veterans with medals for valor are self-aware.
Connie Casella, thank you for restacking this post!
