Love Maggie’s self control C.J. I would have let it rest a day or so, gathered my nerve and opened it… the second-guessing would have got too much for me 🤣. As for it being in the wash, Oh No, was my reaction. 🤦‍♀️. Thoroughly engaging as usual, thank you 🙏

I think that was a fitting ending and the right way for things to turn out. With toxic people, it is best to cut them off, because they are not going to change, even if they say that they are. They just want another chance…to hurt you.

Great story CJ .Me I honestly would of ripped it up or burned it , abusive people to the most part will lie to get the abused back , Then it all starts over again . I could write a similar story here about a box i have had for 3 years . Great story by you CJ . hugs and peace to you and your readers and family

Hello Mitch. Like you, I think most people would have ripped, or burned the letter.

The curious would have opened and read it.

I wrote it so Maggie wouldn’t be aware of what she did, until she saw it in the washer —still in the pocket of her jeans. (I like surprise endings). Hahaha

Thank you!

hugs and peace

The vending was a surprise except since I have done that with papers before so many times , I did wonder if she would remember letter in pocket before the wash .But yes you do like surprise endings lol . Hugs to you and family my dear friend C. J.

I thought she would read the letter! You’ve inspired me to write my own unopened letter story
