This WARNING is Over

The Scammer's Profile has been Removed

—>Good News Substackers! The man’s profile, photo, and everything about his $5,000 gifts to Subscribers was removed! Please disregard the Warning.

I hope this doesn’t get me kicked out of Substack, but someone has to warn other writers here. I especially want my Subscribers to be on the lookout.

There is a Scammer on the prowl and I was contacted by him. His name is Hannet James.

This is Hannet and below is what he has on his profile:

“a $202 mega million lottery winner in dison, NJ i'm so blessed so i ll be giving away $5000 to my first 2.5k followers 100 great full and blessed.”

He contacted me in a private message today and I will copy and paste the conversation for you. I’ve also reported him and filled out Substack’s legal complaint form.

Congratulations 🎉 you have been picked among my followers that will be getting $5000 from me for the ongoing giveaway program this is my way of thanking you for following me and participating in my promotion! Are you ready to claim ?? Reply if YES

Hannet: Congratulations 🍾🎈🎉🎊

ME) I was always told if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I would love to say "yes", but how am I to trust that this is true and not a hoax, or a total scam?

Hannet: This is real and legit all what you have to do is be honest and trustworthy. Do you use cash app or PayPal

ME) No. I'm sorry I don't use a cash app or PayPal. I used to but gave it up. If you are legitimate, you will go to the post office and mail me a check. Can you do that?

Hannet: I can only do cash app or PayPal

ME) That’s strange. There is no one anywhere who can't go to a post office and mail an envelope. See? This is exactly what I was talking about. If you were legitimate, you would mail a check if I asked you to. You must not be legitimate or honest.

ME) Did you hear me? I said you must not be legitimate or honest. You are scamming people here and that’s against the law.

Let me know if he contacted you, too. Also, please let me know if this will get me kicked out. I hope not. I love Substack and I love all my friends here.
