Substack warned us all that scammers are starting to infiltrate Substack in various ways. You did the right thing reporting his to Substack. Knowing who at least one of these people is will help them deal with him. So, I doubt if you'll be kicked out of Substack. Thank you for alerting all of us to this guy.
I've had a couple of followers contact me by private emails wanting to get more acquainted. Since similar people have tried to friend me on FB, I'm really leery and a bit peeved about this kind of thing trailing me to Substack. Has this happened to anyone else here?
Sue, he’s still posting and commenting! He had to have seen my warning post. He must not be too smart …
I’ve had several who want to be familiar, too. I tell them this isn’t a dating site and I’m here to write, nothing else. Then if they still ask me questions, I just tell them the only personal information I give out is on my Profile. If they persist, I block and mute them.
I blocked the one guy, but a new one put the cart before the horse and emailed me a "hi" before following. Maybe once he sees my brilliant writing, he'll move on.
Thanks so much C.J. He should be exposed
I’m glad you agree, Pete. That’s why wrote this. Please pass on to your subscribers.
Restacked this
Good! Get the word out there to your subscribers.
I automatically block anything like that.
I do, too, John, but this is different. This is against the law and there could be someone who believed him.
Thanks.
Absolutely it could scam someone really bad. He needs to be held accountable
Agreed!
Ok awesome just wanted to make sure. Let’s expose this fraud
Go for it, Pete
Can I restack it C.J. ?
Yes! You sure can. I think it’s the only way you can alert your subscribers.
Thank you for sharing this.
You're welcome, Trudi.
Thanks C.J
You’re welcome! Can’t let someone like that hurt anyone here. Why is there always a PIA around to muck things up?
I am conscious that this platform needs to remain a safe space and it hasn’t been that for every writer. 2 people l subscribe to have left.
Did they tell you why?
Thanks for the alert. I don’t see how this could get you kicked off Substack.
I was afraid using his full name and photo, plus our conversation might violate Substack rules about using someone’s personal information.
Thanks for letting us know, CJ.
You’re welcome, Lois. Make sure you let your subscribers know, too.

Let’s hope so. Oh, and there’s nothing wrong with your writing!
😉😉💞
At least I can write and post with complete freedom (except for decorum of some kind). That's the best thing ever.
True!
