Happiness that comes from within is the greatest courage. It comes as we express gratitude and align our thoughts with nature knowing everything we desire would be fulfilled

Right now I’m going through a lot of issues. Honestly, I can’t say the last time I was really “happy” and I’m not very optimistic on the near future, given the world we are in now. It’s hard to move that aside.

All is not bad though. I may not be “happy” per se, but I feel thankful, appreciative and fortunate that I do have what I have, what I have learned. When I substituted appreciative in place of happy, it fit me a little better. Lots of good things have happened, happy things. Lots on the other side too.it all balances out.

Happy is an emotion. Emotions tend to get short circuited and are uncontrollable. I can’t force myself to be happy or sad, it really just happens. Following along with what you are saying by putting one’s self in a position to be on that high side is the place to be.

I think we have to accept the bad for us to truly appreciate the good in our lives. What I tell myself is, the bad won’t last forever and it does not define me. Most of the time it works pretty well.

It’s my impression that you’re an easy-going man, Ken. Sometimes we just get overwhelmed by what life throws at us. That’s okay, too.

I hope things get better for you soon.

Correct assessment. I’m pretty laid back. And you are correct on the overwhelmed part too, I get it.

Thanks 😊

Wake up from a remnant dream remembered and written down with eyes wide open. Don’t ask for much. I think that makes me happy. Sunshine warmth, roof over my head, coffee in my hand. Start of the day to walk on my own

CJ, I found this out the hard way!I was looking for love to make me happy but it just doesn't work that way! But, I enjoy your posts and you are my mentor! I wish I had a mentor when I was younger! I would have stuck with writing! Writing is my first love!
