Your inner child and the guiding light of experience. Although i'm not a prolific poster, I do read, and I've come to appreciate the effort and accomplishment you bring to your subject matter. The fancy Greek words are only an acknowledgement that with practice good technique becomes instinctive and second nature.
Thank you once again, Bob. Your supportive comments mean a lot to me. I love the way children see their world and then explain it using their own words —it’s absolutely endearing. That innocence is what I try and capture when I write from their point of view.
Should be held on to by many a young parent. It doesn’t need to just be daddy, but could be grandpa or gramma too. Many young kids get close to gramma & grampa too.
You’re welcome CJ. I may not comment on everything I read but when something hits me, I will always show appreciation. 😊 But I will always give a like for sure. You have a special way to reach children and it’s quite admirable.

C.J., this is a very fine poem. I admire the manner in which you have gotten into the child's mind. The poem is a fine piece of ethopoeia.
Your words are very humbling, Bob. Thank you. I had to look ethopoeia up in the dictionary. I credit my inner child for finding the voice.

Ken, that’s a great idea. Parents could just substitute any other name in place of “Daddy” and it would work. Thank you for that idea!
Thank you for restacking this post, too, Ken.
CJ. Well done. D
