There is a movie- La Vie En Rose. Terrific movie, but not a love story. It’s about the song and the singer’s life.

I’m not a fan of the French woman who’s famous for singing the song. Her voice is annoyingly nasal. Thanks for the information, Wendy.

I love this.... thanks.

It's such a sweet film.

I'm reminded of Kevin Kline singing "Somewhere" (in French of course) at the end of French Kiss.

I’ll have to find that one, Morgan. I haven’t seen “French Kiss”. Thank you for the heads up!

I think one must have to be French to have a strong opinion of Edith Piaf (lol). My youngest is an old soul, like me, and loved discovering her, and her history, when he was in high school. He was born on her birthday too.

And, I always have songs running through my mind! It seems to be my main prompt for writing. That's a great movie too!

At least you have a song you like. I’ve had the “Chicken Dance” in my head every other day for a month…and I can’t seem to get rid of it ! 🐥🐥 🤭🤭

Nope, no wedding. Just wake up in the morning and it’s banging around in my head. It’s been there all day today. No being sorry - just keep laughing ! It’s good for the soul. 🐥🐥😆😉

I had a thought, Ken, and it might help you exorcise your chicken dance demon. Listen to Jack Nicholson sing https://youtu.be/wuKs9kf-OUU?si=nlVvxi_zRjhp9xyO

Just keep in mind that he was filled with emotion when he sang it at the end of the movie. He thought he realized too late that he loved Diane Keaton and he would never see her again. His one shot at love finally realized and he blew it. You can hear it in his voice.

Isn’t that amazing how music can wake our Muse and we’ll get the urge to write? I love that!

Thanks, Megan. ❤️💕

That’s called an “ear worm,” and I have them every day. Most of the tunes are original, though. Sometimes that’s how the poems start.

“Ear worm” isn’t something I ever heard of. Interesting. Why is it called an ear worm?

WOW I had no idea that was real! Thank you for the link, Carole.

I was going to send you a Wiki link, but Substack won’t do it. There’s a whole article on it.

Not to be confused with a "brain worm" that literally eats important parts of one's brain and results in foolish and despicable behavior.
